Twenty Years and Growing!
We’re Moving in Mid-July! Sponsorships Needed.
The Community Pantry has grown from serving 235 individuals in Jan 2024 to serving 344 individuals in March 2025. On average, we process 12,000 pounds of food each month of food. The small space under the Wales Senior Center has been home for the pantry for 20 years but we have seriously outgrown the space.
Our new facility on Route 20 at the beginning of the north side of the divided highway heading west is at 172 Palmer Road Brimfield, MA. We will have room to unload our van indoors in poor weather even with a forklift, store more food, allow space for our guests to shop, have plenty of parking in a lite parking area and more.
Will you help sponsor our move? Donations at any of these levels will work together to help us meet all our needs as we get up-and-running smoothly:
$100.00 Stable Tables – Can purchases new tables for organizing home deliveries
$200.00 Stock Shelving – Help purchase new shelving to store additional food supplies
$300.00 Energizer Bolt – Provides funds for electricity for our freezers and refrigerators
$400.00 Banner Buddy– helps with the new signage we need in our new facility
$500.00 Doors Ajar – Helps us to pay to keep the “overhead” doors ajar
$1,000.00+ Generous Generator – Helps get a generator to keep our food safe in an outage

Wales – What does the Wales Community Pantry and Pickleball-U have in common? Both are interested in finding pickleball players who wish to support the Community Pantry.
The Pantry has more than doubled the number of people served in Brimfield, Holland, Wales, and the surrounding communities providing thousands of pounds of food to those in need every month. The need has grown so much that we need to move to a bigger space. In early July, the Pantry will be moving to 172 Main Street (Route 20) Brimfield. As with any move, we have additional expenses.
So for the Pickleball in Sturbridge…Please join us on July 27 1:00 – 4:00 to play Pickleball at Pickleball-U fundraiser located at 178 Main Street Sturbridge MA. $50 per person. Air Conditioned, snacks included, raffle items, free instruction and equipment to borrow. All ages and levels are welcome.
